John is simply the best. I found him in New York Magazine's best of issue. We called him on a Saturday, and he came straight to our home after he finished a job. He spent an hour looking around our house, confirming that we still had a problem — even after three treatments from a less-than-great pest control company. He costs a bit more than the 20-minute spray guys, but he's worth every penny. During the first treatment, he literally spent 8 hours going over every inch of our home. He answered every phone call and email. He truly cares and is an expert at getting rid of these insidious little creatures.

THE MOST HONEST COMPANY OUT THERE. Do not waste your time talking to any other company - if you suspect a bed bug infestation specifically (this is their expertise), you call them. First, the customer service was outstanding - he was able to come literally the next day at 7am (and he arrived at 6:55am, which for any service in Manhattan is literally unheard of). I don't write reviews, but this is the most honest company in Manhattan, and for what he is dealing with, this company is far beyond any expectation or service. If I could give this company 10 stars I would.

John is in a word - FABULOUS! We had the bugs, and John couldn't have been any more of a true hero. He came over to check out the situation and gave us a list of what to do to prepare and what to expect. He talked me down from the ledge numerous times + most importantly, he solved our problem. It seems heartbreaking that there's only one of him. We've been a bit nervous to celebrate, but here we are, three months later, with no bites + no little vampires in our bed. Thank you, Boot-A-Pest! I swear, they should make you the bedbug czar of NYC.

If you have bed bugs, Boot A Pest is the only exterminator to use. John returned my life to normal with dedication, humor, kindness, and more. Anytime you panic and email or call — even after — he is there. He was so thorough and solved my problem; I can't praise him enough. When it comes to BB's, you need someone who can "deliver," and Boot A Pest did just that on all fronts. After confirming my worst fears, John, the owner, was extremely diligent, thorough (and neat) in his treatment. Very clear in both written and verbal instructions (preparation and follow-up), proactive and responsive to my questions (John seemed to be "connected" 24/7). He patiently explained what he was doing and why. And with his nice, calm manner, he was emotionally supportive, too (having BB's was nerve-wracking and upsetting, to say the least). I just spoke with John from Boot a Pest again today because I had some questions post-treatment. Again and again, I continue to receive outstanding customer service from John. He took the time to answer all my questions (many of which were annoying, I'm sure) and also gave me tips on traveling and reducing the risk of exposure. I'm getting ready for another business trip in a few weeks, and the thought of bringing this home again gets me nervous. John is AWESOME!! He made an appointment (not a "window") and arrived early. For the first time, I felt like I was dealing with someone who would solve my problem, rather than the extermination equivalent of a used-car salesman. He handled my situation professionally, answered all of my questions, and was more knowledgeable than any of the (many) others that I've spoken to. It's clear that he cares, is excellent at his job, and wants to help you get rid of unwanted pests rather than just taking your money. He's the only one to contact. John is so legit it hurts. The dude is THE bedbug expert. In his spare time, he's even responding to questions on bedbug forums online. He's that dedicated. He cares about his customers and understands the psychological impacts of bedbug infestations and is SO empathetic in his approach. I cannot recommend him enough. Do not get a dog to sniff out your place; they're scammers (the companies, not the dogs). Get John in there. He'll tell you if you have anything to worry about, and if you do, he'll take care of it -- ONCE! -- because that's how good he is. The guy only needs to do it once.
